Dr. A.F. Pinto founded Father Agnelo Primary School in Borivali, Mumbai in 1976 with a capital of just ten thousand rupees and thirty-six students. That single classroom grew, through four decades of disciplined effort and unwavering faith, into the Ryan International Group of Institutions, today one of India's largest and most respected private school networks, operating 135+ institutions across 18 states and serving over 250,000 students annually.

Dr. Pinto completed his undergraduate education at Loyola College in Chennai, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1969. The Jesuit philosophy of educating the whole person, intellect, conscience, and character, left a lasting impression that shaped every school he would go on to build. His extraordinary contribution to public life through education earned him the appointment as Sheriff of Mumbai, one of the most prestigious honorary civic titles conferred by the Government of Maharashtra.
International Man of the Year (IBC Cambridge) & India's Longest-Running Student UN Simulation
Dr. A.F. Pinto received the International Man of the Year Award from the International Biographical Center in Cambridge, United Kingdom, a recognition extended to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to their field on a global scale. Under his chairmanship, the Ryan Group launched the Indian Model United Nations in 2001, India's longest-running student UN simulation, and the International Children's Festival of Performing Arts, bringing 40,000+ students from 17 countries together through cultural exchange.
